Effect of LED Light with Different Ratios of Red to Blue Light on Growth and Quality of Lettuce,effect of led light,effect of led light on plant growth

Lettuce was used as maternal and different ratios of red to blue Light were set to investigate the eflects of LED light with different ratios of red and blue on growth and quality of lettuce.

The results showed that red light could stimulate the shoot growth.The number of leaves, dry weight and fresh weight of shoot were highest under treatment 1(R: B=6:3).

Blue light is beneficial to root growth. Dry weight and fresh weight of root were the highest under treatment 4(R: B=3:6), and the chlorophyll, ascorbic acid and cellulose contents were significantly higher than those under other treatments.

Treatment 2(R:B=5:4) and treatment 5(R:B=27)were beneficial in reducing the nitrate content of lettuce.

Conclusion: Treatment 2 was the best one for improving the vield. and the nutritional quality of lettuce performed was best under treatment4(R:B=3:6).
